Life Itself

Here's a short from fellow director Jeff Consiglio called "Life Itself." It was made for AMC cable channel's Halloween special 'Short Screamers.' They restricted the directors to under a minute in running time and tells a great story in that time. Absolutely beautiful cinematography and great visual effects all of which done by Jeff himself.

'Stronger than life itself. She calls him back to her, only to be taken into his mysterious dimension.'

Written, Directed and Edited by JEFF CONSIGLIO

A Dog Story

This week's short is from one of my favorite people in LA and a very talented director, Dina Mande. When I saw "A Dog's Story" at a festival I was blown away at what could be done with a DV camera and 30 days effort; both visually and emotionaly. Even now, when I watched it before encoding it, I still marvel at the look of the film and the wonderful visual storytelling Dina brought to the tale. Kudos also to composer Marco Monahan for a great score.

Colette's Last Bath

"Colette's Last Bath" is written and directed by Anthony Dalesandro and was made while a member of Group 101 Films. Group 101 Films is a director's group which challenges its members to direct a short film every 30 days for six months. Each film has a different theme selected by the group the month before so no one can pre-write their films. This film was conceived, written, cast, prepped, shot and edited in 30 days. The theme was "A Damsel in Distress."

The film screened "In Competition" at the 3rd Trigger Street Film festival in addition to several other film festivals. Please check it out and let us know what you think of it.
